meet your acadia national park + Sedona, arizona photographer

I love LOVE and LIVE for chasing sunsets! I'm Abby, a goofy nature lover that grew up on the coast of Maine and spent life up until my mid twenties bouncing around New England. I dreamt of travelling the country and finally got up the courage to set sail in my 1985 coachmen motorhome, Bessy. I spent about 8 months travelling from Maine to Arizona, taking my sweet time enjoying the different areas and parks. I decided to settle in Flagstaff, Arizona for 7 years after that! I fell in love with the rugged desert and high country with it's mighty ponderosa pines. Now I bounce back and forth between Maine and Arizona, enjoying the best of my favorite places. It's truly a blessing to document amazing people from coast to coast!!!

( I am a )

Multi-passionate soul.
finding god's beauty in everything

There is beauty literally everywhere you turn in this world. It is like a never ending treasure hunt! Photography allows me to follow my intuition towards moments, places, things that make me feel something deeper. Isn't that what we all crave? To feel connected to the world around us on a deeper level? It certainly is what I crave, and love to share as my gift to the world. I would be following these little breadcrumbs of inspiration with my camera with or without anyone paying me, but being able to offer a service to others make it that much more special and inspiring. I truly want to share my love for people, God, and the beauty of this world for the rest of my life!

A Girl & Her Camera

I have loved observing and using cameras my whole life! But it wasn't until Covid that I decided to truly dive in and learn all there was to learn about being a photographer. I dove head first into this career and never looked back! I truly love what I do and am honored that people from all walks of life trust me with their most special memories.

It All Starts Here

Documentary + candid photos you can feel

My approach to documenting life's precious moments is heavily based on trust. In order to be present and safe enough to get into the creative flow, we need to trust each other. This happens long before our session or elopement day. This is not a one size fits all thing - my style is not for everyone! I NEED to get to know you before capturing your true essence. I do this by sending thorough question forms to get to know you and your vision. We will also spend time on the phone chatting about the process and getting to know each other. I also encourage my couples to create a mood board on Pinterest for inspiration. It may seem like a lot of work, but trust me, showing up to a photoshoot already feeling like friends will produce the best photos.

And How We Create Together

I love full transparency. So this is how the nitty gritty of it all works -

--- Pre- Photoshoot Process---

step 1. You find my website, read through thoroughly and decide you want to reach out.
step 2. We chat about specifics first, if I am available on your date and for the location. Then if that works out, we hop on a quick phone call to get to know each other and decide if it's a good fit on both ends.
step 3. I send over a contract, deposit invoice, and wait for those to be completed.
step 4. We get to the fun parts! Now it's time to plan and get inspired. I send along a thorough question form to get your vision down on paper. Based on those answers I then create a soft timeline for your day, with activities and locations that I think will suit you as a couple.
step 5. We go over that first rough draft together, tweaking anything that needs to be adjusted.
step 6. We touch base and keep connected until our time together. I am always only a text or phone call away and encourage my clients to message me about literally anything!
Step 7. Finalize plans and confirm a week before. Time to start relaxing and letting go of any stress about the day. Put time aside to intentionally take care of yourself in the days leading up to your shoot/elopement. I know it's not always possible, but even just going to that yoga class you love can put you in a positive head space.

Day of your photoshoot! Time to play!

Since we spent a ton of time getting to know each other, planning out the perfect experiences and location, the stress of it all should be almost completely gone and now it's time to have fun and lean in to the present moment.

What does this actually look like?

It starts by choosing to have fun over choosing to be in your head. And I will help you with this by giving you prompts and more open-ended suggestions. But you do need to also put in the work. I cant force anyone to have fun and relax, so letting go of feeling silly is so important if you want to truly enjoy the experience. But don't worry, I am the first to make fun of myself and act a fool, so you'll be in a completely judgement free zone!

I also want to make clear, if you are a diva I am not your photographer! I will be asking you to frolic, pretend you are airplanes, use silly accents, and sometimes get down and dirty with nature. If you read this far and are thinking to yourself, ew I don't want to get my outfit dirty, I don't want to smile too hard,  then we are not a good fit. If you read this and thought, I LOVE to frolic and run barefoot and make silly faces at my favorite person and laugh til we cry, then SWIPE RIGHT BABY!!!
